Voice over Actors

I travelled to France often to visit family members as I am originally from there. I love to watch sitcoms when I am in the US as well as when I’m in France. There’s something I don’t like when I watch the American sitcoms in France is the fact the dialogues are in french because they use voice over actors to translate into french what is being said. The thing is since I know the real voice of the actors in english, the french voice is usually funny to me. Sometimes, they manage to make the person who’s interpreting the voice of the American actor sound about the same, but it is rare. I try to avoid watching American sitcoms in french when I travel to France. If I feel like watching something in english, I go online to channels’ websites and watch my programs that way. It works better for me that way.

Singing Lessons Los Angeles Wtih Greg

I just finished my weekly session with Greg Safel, the guy at Singing Lessons Los Angeles, and it was a great session! My voice has been a little out of shape, I took a couple of years off and I wanted to get back into singing, possibly auditioning for Broadway shows again. So I went to Greg and he took me through a series of exercises, showed me where I was making mistakes, where I would see I am not producing the tone correctly, and I was able to get past the problem and continue on and actually got back up to the high b flat that I’m used to singing. It took a couple of months but I was able to really work hard, Greg gives me great exercises and I really, really appreciate all of his hard work and his knowledge, and all of his training because the guys been out there himself, he’s worked a lot as a singer, and it shows in his professionalism. Study with Greg Safel!
